Eligibility & Admission Process
A Bachelor's degree of at least 3 years' duration with at least 50% marks (45% for candidates belonging to a reserved category). Candidates can enrol without appearing for any entrance test.
- Applications are submitted online through the IGNOU admission portal (Samarth): ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in.
- Create a user ID and password, fill in the admission form and upload the required documents. No printed copy needs to be sent to the Regional Centre.
- You register for the programme in the first semester and then re-register for each following semester.

Study Material
- IGNOU provides self-instructional printed study material in blocks and units. Learners can opt for a soft copy instead of print and receive a 15% concession in the programme fee.
- Digitised material is available free on eGyanKosh (egyankosh.ac.in), the digital repository of the university.
- The IGNOU e-Content mobile app lets learners read course material on phones and tablets.

Assignments
- There is one graded assignment per course, carrying 30% weightage.
- Assignments are available on the IGNOU website. IGNOU does not send hard copies.
- Submission is compulsory. You cannot appear in the Term-End Examination of a course until you have submitted its assignment.
- Submit your assignments to the Coordinator of the Learner Support Centre you are attached to. Take an acknowledgement.
- The tentative schedule lists the last date as 30 April for the January–June semester and 31 October for the July–December semester. Always check the date printed on your assignment, as dates can change.
- If you do not get a pass grade in an assignment, you must submit it again. Once you pass, you cannot resubmit it to improve the grade.
Use A4 paper, leave a 4 cm left margin, write in your own hand (do not print or type the answers), and write each assignment separately. Copying from the study material or from other students can lead to zero marks or rejection. Keep a copy of everything you submit.

Term-End Examination Details
- TEEs are held twice a year, in June and December.
- You must fill in the examination form online for every exam cycle. The examination fee is ₹200 per theory course as per the prospectus, so check the current fee when the form opens.
- To be allowed to appear, your registration must be valid, your assignment submitted and the exam fee paid.
- Hall tickets are uploaded on the IGNOU website (Samarth portal). Carry your valid IGNOU student ID card.
- Re-evaluation of a theory answer script costs ₹750 per course and must be requested within 40 days of the result. A photocopy of the answer script costs ₹100 per course and must be requested within 30 days.
Project Course (MMPP-001)
MMPP-001 is the 8-credit project course, equivalent to two courses and registered in Semester 3. Its purpose is to help learners apply management concepts, tools and techniques to analyse organisational problems. The topic should preferably be in your area of specialisation, which for MBAOM is operations management.
- Choose a topic. This can be a comprehensive case study, an inter-organisational study or a field study.
- Select a guide. IGNOU lists eligibility criteria for guides, such as approved academic counsellors or professionals with the required qualification and experience. A guide can supervise at most five students at a time.
- Prepare and submit the synopsis. It goes to your Regional Director along with the signed proforma and the guide's bio-data (not needed for approved counsellors). Work on the project can begin only after the synopsis is approved.
- Prepare the report. The expected length is about 50 to 60 double-spaced typed pages, not exceeding roughly 18,000 words (excluding appendices and exhibits).
- Submit the report to the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, New Delhi. A project evaluation fee of ₹500 applies as per the prospectus, and a viva-voce may be required if the evaluator recommends it.
A report submitted between 1 December and 31 May is declared with the June TEE results. A report submitted between 1 June and 30 November is declared with the December TEE results. The report must be original and free from plagiarism.
