Eligibility

IGNOU's programme page lists Rs. 8,200 per year. The 2026 programme guide mentions Rs. 16,700 in total: Rs. 8,700 at admission for year 1, which includes the Rs. 300 registration fee and Rs. 400 university development fee, and Rs. 8,000 for year 2. Because these figures differ, confirm the current amount on the IGNOU admission portal. Examination fees are not included. The programme is not offered to international students.
Assignments, exams and study session
- Assignments: 30% weightage. MAHD uses teacher-marked assignments (TMA) only, and you cannot sit a course's exam unless its assignment is submitted. Assignment submission falls in March and September, as per the guide.
- Term-End Examination: 70% weightage, held in June and December. A learner admitted in July can take year 1 exams in June of the next year, and January admissions can take them in December of the same year.
- Study session: the session runs January to December for the January cycle and July to June for the July cycle.
- Answers must be handwritten on foolscap paper, not typed, and copied answers receive zero marks.
