b) An 83-year-old male with a history of dementia, currently living in a long-term care facility, is noted to be frequently lying in soiled sheets when the nursing staff attends to him. He sometimes lack having a solid bowel movement for many days altogether. What is the diagnosis? How to treat? What are preferred pharmacologic agents and other treatment modalities? How to prevent?
